Well, here we are and we’re both wondering what this blog is going to be about. I suppose that I need to start with what prompted me to get started.
I have been doing software development for over a decade but have always had a real passion for gardening. I find that getting dirt under my nails and building things and growing things nicely counterbalances the hours spent working on software. This desire to build and grow has over the years become more focused as I learn more about both why I should grow my own food and new techniques for doing that.
Lately I’ve thought a lot about how to apply my software and technical expertise to making my gardening more productive and cost effective. In the days to come I will attempt to document on this blog my efforts, successes and failures, to build a techno garden.
